DESCRIPTION
Salvia chamelaeagnea forms a dense shrub, growing almost 1m high, with many strong, upright stems. The stems are square-shaped, a typical feature of the family Lamiaceae the plant is used medicinally in its native habitats. Flowering starts in mid-Summer, and continues well into the Autumn. The large flowers are pale blue, with white and cream markings, an attractive combination above the lime-green leaves.
