DESCRIPTION
Salvia semiatrata is from Southern Mexico RARELY offered in cultivation these days, this frost tender shrub, with bright green foliage will flower in my garden from October until frost. It can be a thirsty plant in summer, and is best positioned in a sunny spot maybe some afternoon shade in dry areas. The upper lip is deep blue and the lower lips are lavender/white. This makes a striking contrast to the deep pink calyx. Widely grown in the French and Italian Rivieras, this is a delightful salvia for a large container. It will grow 1-1.5m high and wide here in my garden.
