A recent introduction from Australia, this seems to be a hybrid. To my amateur eye the only resemblance to the S. involucrata forms is the foliage. The flowers seem to indicate that there has been a cross with S. microphylla. Growing 1x1m and tolerant of part shade its a lovely plant, frost tender when young
