DESCRIPTION
The very best perennial Allium suitable for a wider range of climates than the bulbous forms and not requiring a deep winter chill. It makes a compact upright clump of glossy green, narrow strap-like leaves. From mid-summer into autumn 35cm tall stems carry a profusion of large bright purple-rose balls of flowers. Foliage mounds grow 30cm tall by 30cm wide. This is an easy and quick growing plant, which requires little maintenance. If at any time the plant begins to look untidy, it’s an easy fix - simply cut right back to the base to enable the plant to regrow fresh foliage, which shoots from beneath the ground. This plant naturally falls dormant and 'disappears' through the winter months, reappearing in spring.
